  26. comes in the box. or they assume everything now adays has that typical 
  27. Disclaimer sticker due to the popularity of Windows. of course to you 
  28. guys who read this newsgroup you can spot it quickly. but 90% of these 
  29. new computer users don't know what hardware and software error 
  30. compression is.

  32. A better solution is to put the following disclaimer.

  34. "Caution, This modem does not have built in hardware to perform error 
  35. correction and flow control. Your Computer's CPU will emulate such 
  36. features in software using a special software driver, We cannot guarantee 
  37. that drivers will be available for other operating systems other than 
  38. (insert name of operating system a driver that ships with modem) and we 
  39. cannot guarantee your CPU has enough power to drive the features of this 
  40. modem."
